John Moore Williams is a poet, visual artist, and (avid, amateur) typographer. He has authored several chapbooks of experimental poetry, displayed work in several galleries across the world, including the Emily Harvey Foundation Gallery in New York City, Los Angeles’ Otis College of Art and Design, and Brazil’s MUBE. Numerous online poetics journals, including Otoliths, The New Post-Literate, Cricket and Shampoo, have published many of his works. Finally, his work has appeared in print in the anthologies The &Now Awards, Avant Garde for the New Millennium, and several Otoliths collections. He also co-wrote (with Matina Stamatakis and Kane X. Faucher) and designed [ !].

InterNaPwoWriMo

Welcome to my contribution to InterNaPwoWriMo, an annual celebration of the poetic form most widely known as the pwoermd! This is my second year hosting pwoermds for this event on this blog.

A pwoermd is, in essence, a one-word poem. Like any poetic form, a variety of means and modes for the creation of the pwoermd have developed. This is but one space in which those means and their possibilities are explored.
